What this is

Money advice without the hustle

Deal Diary is a small, independent US site about keeping more of the money you already earn. Not earning more, not investing, not starting anything. Just the everyday savings that are genuinely available to a household on a budget, written down properly.

Most money-saving content fails in one of two ways. It is either a list of forty tactics with no sense of which ones matter, or it is an affiliate pitch with the inconvenient details removed. So our guides do two things differently. They rank by effort against impact, because a tactic that saves $4 a month and takes an hour a week is not worth telling you about. And they put the catch in the article: the payout minimum, the hold period, the exclusion, the reason the advertised rate is a ceiling rather than an average.

What you will actually find here

Guides on cutting a grocery bill without couponing for hours, on stacking a receipt app and a shopping portal so one purchase pays twice, on when stores mark things down and when beauty goes on sale, on the subscriptions still quietly billing you, and on the money you may already be owed through unclaimed property and assistance programs. Plus honest coverage of paid research and product testing, including what it does not pay.

How we work

We go to the primary source rather than another blog’s summary, which means retailer coupon policies, app terms of service and government program pages. We label examples as examples. We say when a number depends on your store, your region or your household. We do not republish weekly circulars, we do not accept sponsored posts, and we do not fabricate subscriber counts or testimonials. When we get something wrong, we fix the guide rather than burying a note. The full standards, and how we make money, are on the about page.
