How Much Are Fetch Points Worth? Points-to-Dollars Calculator and Chart

1,000 Fetch points are worth about $1 in gift cards. So 3,000 points is about $3, 10,000 is about $10 and 50,000 is about $50. Fetch calls that rate approximate, and some gift cards in the app cost a little more per dollar, so the exact number shows on the reward itself before you redeem. Points never turn into cash. They become gift cards.

At Fetch’s published rate of about 1,000 points per $1 (checked Oct 13, 2026). Some gift cards cost a little more per dollar, so check the reward in the app. Receipt and day counts are our math from the 25-point minimum and the 35-receipts-per-8-days limit. Nothing you type leaves this page.

How much are Fetch points worth in dollars?

Divide by 1,000. That’s the whole formula. Here are the balances people search for most, converted at Fetch’s published rate:

Fetch pointsAbout this much in gift cards
1,000$1
3,000$3
5,000$5
7,000$7
10,000$10
25,000$25
30,000$30
50,000$50
100,000$100
200,000$200

Going the other way, $1 on Fetch costs about 1,000 points. Fetch’s own explainer says 1,000 points are “approximately” worth $1 and that some gift cards differ, so treat the table as the typical rate rather than a promise. Before you redeem, compare two or three brands in the rewards list. They don’t always cost the same number of points for the same dollar amount.

Can you turn Fetch points into cash?

No. Fetch’s terms say points have no cash value and can’t be redeemed for cash, so there’s no bank transfer and no PayPal. You redeem for gift cards from the in-app catalog, and Fetch’s help center also documents Visa rewards for members who want something that works almost anywhere. After you redeem, a reward takes 72 hours to process before you can use it.

If you want an app that pays real money to your bank or PayPal, that’s Ibotta. The tradeoffs between the two are laid out in Ibotta vs. Fetch.

Why do I only get 25 points per receipt?

25 points is the floor. Fetch gives at least 25 points for every eligible receipt you snap, whether that’s groceries, gas or a pharmacy run. Everything above that comes from offers: specific brands or stores that pay extra points when they show up on your receipt. A receipt with nothing from a partner brand stays at the floor.

Here’s what the floor adds up to. At 25 points a receipt, it takes 120 plain receipts to reach 3,000 points, or about $3. A family snapping four receipts a week would get there in roughly 30 weeks on base points alone. Even maxing out the snap limit (35 receipts in 8 days) earns only 875 base points, under $1.

So the real money on Fetch is in the Offers tab. Glance at it before a big grocery run. If a brand you already buy is listed, that one item can be worth more than a month of plain receipts. Buying something only for the points usually costs more than the points are worth.

What receipts does Fetch not accept?

Per Fetch’s help center, these get rejected:

  • Old receipts: anything more than 14 days past the transaction date.
  • Duplicates: a receipt can only be snapped once, by anyone. If someone in your house already scanned it, yours gets rejected.
  • Ineligible types: return receipts, utility, medical and service bills, prescription refill slips, movie and concert tickets, airline tickets and bag tags, ATM and bank slips, and handwritten receipts.
  • Missing details: the photo has to show the store name, checkout date and total.
  • Non-US receipts: only the U.S. and Puerto Rico count.

One detail catches people out: rejected receipts still count toward your 35-receipt limit, except duplicates. Snapping a pile of old receipts burns slots you could have used on real ones.

Do Fetch points expire?

Yes, if your account goes quiet. Under Fetch’s terms (effective October 8, 2026), your points expire if you don’t earn any points or redeem a reward for 90 days. Fetch sends a warning after 60 days of inactivity, and expired points can’t be recovered. Snapping one receipt every couple of months keeps the balance safe.

When should you redeem?

Sooner rather than later. Points earn nothing sitting in the app, Fetch can change its reward values and minimums at any time under its terms, and a long quiet stretch can wipe the balance. Once you have enough for a gift card at a store you already shop, cash it in and use it on your next regular trip.

To see what a Fetch reward or an Ibotta rebate does to the real price of something on your list, run it through our True Price Calculator. And if you’re running more than one receipt app, here’s how to stack them on the same trip.

Who this isn’t for

If you want cash in your bank account, Fetch is the wrong app, since it only pays in gift cards. And if you shop mostly at one store with a strong loyalty program, the store’s own digital coupons will usually save you more than base Fetch points. Fetch works best as a zero-effort extra for people who’d be getting the receipt anyway.
